Living Room update

Last week, I began to build a built-in shelf in the dining room. I had bought some wood at my favorite lumberyard — Free State Timbers and bought some spalted maple to go with some cherry plywood that I already had and some other woods to create this shelf unit.

American Craft Show

I went to the American Craft Festival at the Convention Center in Baltimore this weekend. I bought a couple of things that I have taken a pictures and posted them. I got a Japanese flower stand and two mats. The mats came from Kelly Marshall. I found her stuff amazing.

I picked the table up on Saturday in New Jersey. My uncle brought it down from Glens Falls and I picked it up and brought it the rest of the way. I am thinking that the dining room is almost done. I only have chairs to go.

A friend from high school - Mike Parwana of Chicken Coop Forge created the table out of steel - the bottom - and green slate. It looks great and is perfect for a small room such as my dining room. The table measures 40 inches by 60 inches.
